| On the upcoming August election, you will have the
option to vote for or against a $50 wheel tax. If the tax passes, it
will add an additional $50 to the current $24 registration fee for
registering your vehicles each year. Understand, the wheel tax is not an
either/or proposition. County commission has already stated that they
will be raising the property tax rate regardless of the passage of the
wheel tax. A $50 wheel tax would be the highest in east Tennessee. Knox
