White Suit Settled

Back in April 2021, then Loudon County 911 Director, Jennifer White, filed a federal sex discrimination lawsuit against the Knox County Emergency Communications District (Knox County 911).

According to her lawsuit, Ms. White applied for the director position with Knox County 911 but was not hired in August 2019. The suit claims that Knox County 911 hired a less qualified male, Brad Anders, rather than a highly qualified female, Ms. White.

In May, Knox County answered Ms. White's suit denying the charges.

Ms. White's suit had been set for September 27th, 2022 but was settled out of court by the Knox County insurance company in undisclosed settlement.

White, announced in August of this year, that she would be leaving Loudon County 911 to work in the private sector. Her last day at 911 was August 28th.
