Wait A Minute

Just a couple weeks ago, the Lenoir City council voted, unanimously, not to permit any political campaign signs on city property or right-of-ways at any time. Never did hear what they're reasoning was.

So why would some of those same councilmen think it's OK to put their signs on county property and right-of-ways? The signs above are on the property at the old vocational center on Harrison Road across from Allenbrook Subdivision.

I'm all for temporary use of political signs but if you're going to vote not to allow them city property or right-of-ways, isn't it a bit of hypocrisy to go across the street and use county property and right-of-ways?

Just saying.
