Two hurt when SUV flips on I-75 near Lenoir City

LENOIR CITY, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Two people were sent to the hospital when an SUV flipped on I-75 South shortly before 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, according to the Lenoir City Police Dept.

A family of five was on their way back to Detroit the driver of the white Chevrolet Tahoe apparently lost control of the vehicle and it overturned.

Two people were ejected during the crash as well as two dogs, police said. They were taken to the hospital for treatment. One of the dogs reportedly died instantly, while the other survived the crash but was killed when it ran into traffic.

Authorities have not released the names of the victims or their condition.
