Truck Fire

About 9:30 Saturday morning, just out the road from my house, a truck caught fire sitting very close to the residents house. The Loudon County Fire Rescue was on scene in a matter of minutes and knocked the fire down quickly. Fortunately, the fire did not ignite the house.

What's incredible is, on a Saturday morning when most of us are just lounging and getting ready for the day, a dozen or more men and women of the Loudon County Fire Rescue dropped everything they were doing and skipped the plans they had for the morning and turned out in force to put out a fire and save their neighbor's home.

Sometimes, I think we forget or just take for granted the volunteer fire department. They do an incredible job for no reason other than a desire to serve their community.

To the men and women of the LCFR, Thank You and we all appreciate what you do for us.
