Autopsy to be performed on man who died while in THP custody in Loudon County, name released
 
LOUDON (WATE) - The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is currently investigating the death of a man that was being held in the custody of Tennessee Highway Patrol Friday afternoon.

A spokesman for TBI says Kevin Courtner died due to unknown causes after becoming combative with officers. Courtner was arrested after a pursuit by officers on I-40 in Loudon County.

Courtner's autopsy is set to be completed Saturday.

TBI began investigating upon the request of District Attorney General Russell Johnson.

TBI says they are not releasing any more details at this time pending the investigation.
