Still No Senior Tax Freeze

For a second month in a row, commissioner Austin Shaver once again brought the matter of the voter approved senior citizen tax freeze to the county commission work shop. Last month when Shaver proposed the tax freeze, some commissioners wanted more time to research the matter, some were just opposed to the plan.

Austin brought the freeze back to the commission hoping others might be prepared to support it. Unfortunately, once again no other commissioners voiced support for the measure citing the loss of revenues and the a ledged cost to implement the program. Looks like there will be no tax freeze for seniors in Loudon County.
