August Petitions

Today, 2/7, is the first day candidates for any offices in the August election can pick up qualifying petitions. Below is the information on the August election.

State Executive Committeeman and Committee Woman, 5th Senatorial District
 

Non-partisan election Loudon County General Election

Circuit Court Judge, 9th Judicial District

Chancellor, 9th Judicial District

Criminal Court Judge, 9th Judicial District

District Attorney General, 9th Judicial District

Public Defender. 9th Judicial District
 

Lenoir City Election

Party nominees from the May Primaries and Independent candidates will also appear on the General ballot.
 

• First day to issue a petition- February 7, 2022 (for those that did not qualify in for the May Primary Election)

Deadline to turn in petition- April 7, 2022, 12:00 NOON

Those seeking the offices for the 9th Judicial District will also have to file required paperwork in Meigs, Morgan and Roane Counties by the April 7, 2022, 12:00 Noon deadline.

• Those seeking the Tennessee Senate, 5th Senatorial District, must also file the required paperwork in Knox and Anderson County by the April 7, 2022, 12:00 Noon deadline.

• Those seeking the State of Tennessee House of Representatives, 21st District , must also file the required paperwork in Monroe County by the April 7, 2022, 12:00 Noon deadline.

• Those seeking the State of Tennessee House of Representatives, 32nd District , must also file the required paperwork in Roane County by the April 7, 2022, 12:00 Noon deadline.

• Those seeking the State Executive Committeeman and Committee Woman for Republican or Democratic party , must also file the required paperwork in Anderson and Knox County by the April 7, 2022, 12:00 Noon deadline.

• First day to request an absentee ballot by Military or Overseas voter- January 1, 2022

  • First day to request an absentee ballot –May 6, 2022 (Non-Military or Overseas voter)

  • • Last day to request and process an absentee ballot- July 28, 2022

  • • Last day to register to vote- July 5, 2022

  • • Early voting dates- July 15-July 30, 2022
