The Squirrel Incident

It has come to our attention that a local law enforcement officer and school board member was the victim of a savage and unprovoked attack by a squirrel in the deep woods of Loudon County while deer hunting.

The attack took place while the victim was poached in his deer stand watching for a passing buck. The squirrel came from out of nowhere and pounced on the victim from above then tossed the victim out of his deer stand to the ground causing minor injuries. The squirrel then fled the scene and hasn't been seen since.

After a through investigation, a document was found hidden in the knothole of a nearby tree. Allegedly, the document was a copy of an agreement between the squirrels and deer that the squirrels would help defend the deer from hunters if the deer would agree to leave extra nuts and berries for the squirrels to eat. A copy of the document has not yet been released. The name of the victim has also been withheld.

This should be a warning to all deer hunters to be cautious and alert when in the woods. The squirrels are watching.
