Here's how you can warm your heart by doing something for kids — and warm your tummy at the same time.

The seventh annual Soup's On! fundraiser to benefit the fight against child abuse in four East Tennessee counties is set for Wednesday, Jan. 25, at the Community Church of Tellico Village's Christian Life Center.

There will be a lunch and a dinner, and a variety of soups and a special chili will be available.

All proceeds raised will help benefit the Kids First Child Advocacy Center of the Ninth Judicial District. The district encompasses Loudon, Monroe, Roane and Meigs Counties.

"We will be serving three homemade soups, Hunter's Chili, fresh homemade bread and desert," said Denise Dubrule, administrative assistant at the center. "Back by popular demand is the Blackfoot potato and sausage soup, the Tuscan chicken soup, and the Elvis Presley vegetable. You can try all three soups and the Hunter's Chili. It's an all-you-can-eat feast."

Tickets are $12 at the door, but you can save money by purchasing tickets in advance, for $10, at the following locations: The Tellico Village and Highway 321 North offices of United Community Bank; the Kids First center, 887 Highway 70 in Lenoir City; First National Bank on Highway 321 North; or the Village Salon in Tellico Village.
