Scary Times

Absolutely, a worldwide pandemic of a killer virus is scary, but the headlines above, and many more of just like those, are far scarier than any virus.

We must take the virus seriously, but what do we have to give up? Freedom, personal independence, our livelihoods?

Some have compared our current national situation as like being at war. So be it. Under our current mindset, the day after December 7th, 1941, there would have been those who would have said, we can not declare war on Japan, too many people might die. We can not storm the beaches at Normandy, too many people might die.

These same folks may decide we must no longer drive our vehicles, too many people might die.

Under our current mindset, certainly alcohol and tobacco must be banned, too many people will die from their use. Every year, the country must be shutdown completely due to the flu to prevent so many people from dying.

No more air travel, too many people might die in crashes. No more swimming, too many people might drown. All foods that might cause heart disease or cancer must be banned.

The leftists dream, guns have to go, too many people killed by guns and not to even mention abortion.

The list could go on forever.

How much longer can we allow elected officials to determine who's essential and who's not? You know how many government officials will miss a paycheck during this crisis? ZERO.

The virus may kill me tomorrow and if so, fine. But I won't be hiding under my desk with fear and I will never give up my freedom voluntary.

Life's a gamble every day we wake up. Freedom in America is too precious to give up. You do what you want, but I will never surrender.
