Rodeos And Alcohol?

Last Month, the Loudon County Board Of Zoning Appeals, BZA, approved the use as a certain parcel of property for use as a Rodeo. The property is located about half way between Loudon and Philadelphia on Hwy. 11 just across from American Legion Post 120 and just north of Dead Man's Farm.

Days after the rodeo business was approved by the BZA, the the owners applied for a beer permit from the Loudon County Beer Board.

Loudon County beer permit regulations state that, no permit to sell beer within 2,000' of a church, school, daycare or other place of public gathering shall be issued. The entire property of the rodeo business appears to be within 2,000' of Liberty Baptist Church.

The beer permit request will be heard this Thursday.
