Rip Marilyn

Ms. Marilyn Littlefield Tatum was not a well known public official or anything like that but she was a very important part of out little family for a long time.

Marilyn came into our lives about 20 years ago. Her husband and my mother died just days apart. About three years later, she, as a widow and my dad as a widower found each other in the church senior's group.

For the next 10 years, Marilyn and daddy were close friends, boyfriend and girlfriend. They were just perfect for each other and enjoyed a life together to the day daddy died. She was right there in the room with us when daddy drew his last breath 10 years ago.

This past Saturday, Miss Marilyn crossed on over after a brief illness. Our family enjoyed the time we had Marilyn in our family and we will miss her.
