Rain Tax Relief?
| According to the article in the Spring/Summer edition
of the Lenoir City news letter, they're going to have a Rain Barrel
workshop at the end of the month. The article doesn't mention it, but I
was just curious, if you buy a $40 rain barrel for your property would
that reduce your Rain Tax? The ad says it will capture the water from
your roof. You're being charged the Rain Tax for the water that runs off
your property, so it kind of makes since that if less rain water is
leaving your property you should pay less Rain Tax? I bet that's not the case. Current city officials will never willingly give up the Rain Tax. It's too big of a golden goose |
