QUEENER ARRESTED AGAIN IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY

1057news.com-A motorcyclist was pulled over by Cumberland County authorities yesterday after displaying a folded up license plate. The rider, 43-year-old David Lee Queener of Lenoir City, jumped off and attempted to run but was taken into custody. A check revealed the 2001 Harley Davidson was reported stolen out of Knoxville. Queener was charged with theft and taken to jail.

It was back in March of this year when Queener was involved in a high-speed pursuit in Cumberland County on Plateau Road next to I-40. The officer asked him to step out of the vehicle and that is when Queener took off at a high rate of speed. The chase went to Highway 70 North at speeds of 85 miles per hour and ended on East Mayland Road. After a short altercation following a taser being ineffective on Queener, he was arrested for DUI, evading arrest, resisting arrest and simple possession of drugs.

Law enforcement would encounter Queener again in March 2020 after they went to a home on East Mayland Road. He ran off into a field behind the home. A K-9 officer tracked Queener to where he was hiding behind a tree. Queener was arrested on outstanding warrants for manufacture, sale and delivery of meth, possession of a firearm while under the influence, possession of drug paraphernalia, theft of property and three counts of vandalism.
