Looks like another road improvement project is on the horizon. According to the public notice below, the Simpson Road project is moving forward. For those that might not know, Simpson Road runs from Shaw Ferry Road over to Hwy. 321. It's the road most of us from the north end of the county use to get to Home Depot, Walmart or First Baptist Church. It's a road that certainly needs widening.

Hopefully details and a time line will be announced at the public meeting.

Public Involvement Meeting
Simpson Road Widening Project
 
The City of Lenoir City will conduct a Highway Design Public Meeting on Thursday, June 25, 2015 to be held in Fellowship Hall A of First Baptist Church of Lenoir City (2085 Simpson Road East, Lenoir City, Tennessee 37772) to discuss the Simpson Road Widening Project.  The meeting will be held from 6:30 P.M. to 8:30 P.M. during which time there will be a brief presentation followed by a question and answer session.  Representatives from the City of Lenoir City and Vaughn & Melton (Project Design Engineers) will be present to answer questions on aspects of the project.
 
Arial images of the project area and copies of the preliminary construction plans will be provided for viewing at the Public Meeting.  All citizens are encouraged to attend.  Comment sheets are available for those who prefer to make written statements.
