Press Release From Josh Marler

MARLER’S POST ELECTION STATEMENT

Responds to Loudon Co. BOE Loss and Potential November Lenoir City BOE Candidacy

Lenoir City, TN , August 8, 2014: OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: After the election results were revealed Thursday night. Several folks have reached out to me about running for the Lenoir City School Board. First I have some much needed business to take care of. Make no Mistake, I am Happy and am very proud of my Team!

Mr William Jenkins ran a strong race and I just got straight out beat. I am proud of the effort my team put in but the people spoke and they believe Mr Jenkins is doing a good job. With that said, with relief, I can officially concede this race with my head held high. I wish him luck and Mr Jenkins has my support going forward. Through the race, I was able to get to know him and feel that we have become friends!

Before I make my announcement, I want to take a moment to thank some folks.

First, and Foremost, I want to thank the Lord for giving me the opportunity to enter the race versus Mr. Jenkins. Secondly, I want to Thank my beautiful wife Whitney Marler and parents Jeff Marler and Sherri Marler for their support throughout this. Thirdly, I would like to thank Aaron Lewis for his loyalty, time, and effort in being my campaign manager. And Finally, I want to thank my Constituents, all 247 of the folks that voted for me and believed in me.

Today, I want to announce, I will NOT be seeking the office of Lenoir City School Board in the November election. Its time for me to come off the campaign trail and spend some time with my new wife. I owe it to Whitney as a newly married couple since we got married in June. I can't say whether or not I will seek office in the future. I will say this experience has been rewarding and humbling.

Thank you for all your support and I'll see you later in our great community!
