Police uncover drugs, guns at motel

Three people were arrested in connection with a stash of drugs, guns and paraphernalia found at a motel on U.S. Highway 321.

Receiving information that multiple individuals with outstanding warrants were staying in a motel room in Lenoir City and were "armed with several guns," agents with the Ninth Judicial Drug Task Force saw Orlando Kartize Witherow, 34, Knoxville, and Clarence Dewayne Smith, 38, homeless, leave the room and go to a nearby gas station, according to the arrest report.
