Petition Update 8/17/20

With Thursday's deadline approaching, a few more candidates have picked up qualifying petitions to seek office in the November election.

In Lenoir City, Todd Kennedy and Steve Shoemaker have picked up petitions for city council.

The Lenoir City council race, as all the races in the local elections, are non partisan and at large. This means, candidates run with no party affiliation and the top three candidates who receive the most votes win the seats. Same with the Lenoir City school board race. In Philadelphia and Greenback, it's the top four candidates.

Thursday, the 20th, noon is the deadline to qualify.
