Petition Update

While six candidates have picked up qualifying petitions for the Loudon City special election, only three have returned their petitions and qualified.

Anyone wishing to do so, can pick up a petition for the special election and the regular November Loudon City election. Those petitions will be available beginning June 20.

Three candidates have already established Facebook pages for their campaigns.

John Cardwell

As many of you know, I announced my intent to run for Loudon City Council several months ago. However, with the sudden and tragic passing of Councilman Johnny James, there will be a special election in August to fill the remaining term for his seat and I will be running. I will run in the August election and the November election. The special election will be on Thursday, August 4th, 2022. I need your help to kick off my campaign. I am looking for folks that will allow me to place campaign signs in your yard. Also, looking for registered voters to sign my election petition. If you would like to help, please contact me at 865-591-6779, jecardwell62@gmail.com, or PM me on FaceBook. Thank you! I appreciate your supporter!

Eric Newman

As many of you know, last July I decided that I would be running for Loudon City Council this election cycle. I’m excited to announce that as of today I have turned in my petition to be on the ballot for the special election to be held on Aug. 4th! (Early voting July 15-30) I will be running for election on this position, as well as the election in November! I’d be very grateful for your support and look forward to meeting with many of you in the upcoming months!

James Webb

The City of Loudon will hold a special election on August 4th 2022, for a council seat vacated by the death of my friend Johnny James. I am a candidate to fill the remainder of Johnny’s term and would be honored to have your vote and support.
