One More Thanks

I just don't know enough words to say how thankful I am to the voters for our victory last week. I wish I could thank every one who voted for me personally. There were also some folks who went above and beyond to help in the cause and for that I'm thankful.

There is one other person that I have to give my greatest gratitude to. That's my wife Sarah. She has worked as hard or harder than I have during this campaign. She was the one who packed nearly every one of my doorknob packets, she did all my internet information work. Election day was a full eighteen hours of stress and tension, hot and windy, meeting and talking to folks and getting pretty good sunburns. She was there for every minute of it. But this is not the first time, this was our ninth campaign and she's been there with me at every one of them.

As hard and stressful as any campaign is, this time it was all in perspective. Just last November, we got the news no one wants to hear, Sarah had cancer. From November to mid February, we had no idea what the outcome would be. That was true stress. Ultimately, we got the best news possible, cancer removed and no other treatments needed. Political stress is nothing compared to cancer stress.

Without Sarah's support, I couldn't have achieved anything in my life, that I have with her.

Thanks to Sarah for everything you do and have done.
