One man charged with DUI, felony possession after Loudon County crash

GREENBACK (WATE) – Three people were injured, including an 8-year-old girl, after a two car crash on U.S. 411 near Highway 95 in Greenback Friday night according to Tennessee Highway Patrol.

THP says the crash started when a Ford Taurus crossed the center turn lane into oncoming traffic and struck a Mazda RX-8 head-on in the drivers side of the vehicle.

Two Lifestar helicopters were on the scene and all occupants were transported to UT Medical for treatment of injuries.

The driver of the Taurus, Carl Hall, 48, has been charged with DUI, felony possession, simple possession and vehicular assault.

The condition of Hall or the other two victims has not been released.

The roadway was closed until around 8:20 p.m. No other details have been released on the crash.
