On 07-29-09 at approx 11:30 pm the Loudon County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division and Patrol Division assisted by the Loudon City Police Dept. and Lenoir City Police Dept.  Served a narcotics search warrant at 604 West Broadway Lenoir City Tn at the home of Grant C. Durst.  The search warrant  came after a 2 month investigation involving the Loudon County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division with help from the Loudon Police Department and Lenoir City Police Department. 

The search of the home revealed a marijuana grow operation with approx 50 plants, Grow lights , timers, and other paraphernalia used to manufacture marijuana. Also found during the search was approx. 50 grams of dried marijuana, digital scales, and plastics bags , all used to package marijuana for resale. Found in one of the grow rooms were 2 mushrooms believed to be psilocybin mushrooms a schedule I drug. Also found in the search was 7 pills identified as Soma a legend drug.

Grant C. Durst was arrest at the scene and charged with the following charges…

Possession of marijuana for resale

Possession of schedule I drug (Psilocybin Mushrooms)

Felony possession of Drug paraphernalia

Misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia

Possession of Legend Drug (Soma)

Due to the fact that Grant C. Durst is a convicted felon further charges may come because of several boxes of ammunition was also found during the search.
