The November city elections are shaping up.

In Lenoir City, Todd Kennedy has qualified as has Rick Chadwick. There will be three council seats on the November ballot. Incumbents Jim Shields and James Brandon have qualified to run for re-election. Four years ago, James Brandon ran his campaign on the platform of repealing the Rain Tax. Then shortly after getting elected, he changed his mind and said the rain Tax was great. Lots more discussion on that later.

In Greenback, Tina Baker has picked up a qualifying petition for alderman.

In Loudon, a lot of folks have picked petitions but few have returned them.

The deadline to qualify is August 18, 2022, 12:00 NOON.
