New Voting Machines

Beginning with the August election, Loudon County will have new voting machines. The new machines will have a paper ballot that you can see who you voted for before you actually cast your ballot. Then if there's ever any questions, election officials can go back and see the actual paper ballot, a paper trail if you will.

Certainly, the new machines will be different than the ones we've been using since 2006, but we will learn the new system quickly with the added advantage of the paper trail for security.

If you would like to see one of the new voting machines, you can drop by the Loudon County Election Commission office.
