I announced several months ago my intention to seek the office of Loudon County Mayor. Mr. Arp's announcement does not alter my approach; it has always been my intent to run on my political record and accomplishments, not those of any other candidate.

I would like to wish Mr. Arp well in his retirement.

I know the "Political Establishment" that has long controlled Loudon County government will be working overtime to find a replacement candidate to fill Mr. Arp's shoes.

My committment to the people of Loudon County remains the same regardless of  who the new heir apparent is.
