Motorcyclist dies from injuries suffered in Aug. 20 wreck

KNOXVILLE - A Lenoir City man has died from injuries he suffered Aug. 20 in a crash on Northshore Drive near Tooles Bend Road.

Anthony J. Winters died early Sunday, according to a report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol.

Winters, 46, was driving a 2007 Harley-Davidson motorcycle eastbound on Northshore about 9:07 p.m. Aug. 20 when he lost control and hit a guardrail, according to a report from Trooper Richard Conatser. He was wearing a helmet, according to Conatser's report.

The Knox County Medical Examiner's office informed THP on Sunday that Winters had died, according to Conatser's report.
