Judge McNabb Challenges Harrison's Eligibility 

Current Lenoir City judge, Robin McNabb has filed a constitutional lawsuit challenging city judge-elect, Greg Harrison's right to hold the office. The suit claims that Harrison does not live in the city limits as required by the state constitution. The suit ask for an injunction to prevent Harrison from taking the office until the suit has been heard.

Back in February of 2021, the mayor/council passed an ordinance allowing candidates, including Harrison, to run for the judge even though they did not live in the city. Under the city ordinance, Harrison could run for the office but could not vote in the election.
