Man shot and killed at Lenoir City mobile home park

LENOIR CITY, Tenn. (WVLT) - The Lenoir City Police Department says a man was shot and killed at a mobile home park Wednesday.

Officers responded to the Rambling Acres Mobile Home Park on Browder Hollow Rd around 8:00p.m. on a report of shots fired.

Chief Don White says there were two people inside on of the mobile homes when one shot the other in the stomach.

White says the man was taken to the hospital and crews were performing CPR on him as they drove away in an ambulance. He was later pronounced dead.

The suspect is in custody.

"Don't think there's anyone else in danger at all," Chief White explained. "The individual that fired the weapon, we have him detained as well. So we're just going to work through the rest of the night to try and put all the pieces together."

Officers are trying to figure out what led to the shooting.
