Man faces charges for attempting to have sex with teen

A man is behind bars after deputies say he tried to have an inappropriate relationship with a 15-year-old girl.

The Blount County Sheriff's Office says investigators arrested 33-year-old Martin Sales-Valesquest in Lenoir City after he arranged a meeting with the teen. Officials say he admitted he hoped to have sex with her.

Deputies say Sales-Valesquez has met the girl in the past and talked with her on the phone and internet.
