LPD On Task

The Loudon City Police Department took advantage of the long holiday weekend to send a strong message to drivers. Driving impaired in Loudon will not work.

Taking advantage of the Governor's Highway Safety Grant program, LPD set up a sobriety check point at Steekee and Hwy. 72 from 10:00 pm Friday night to 2:00 am Saturday morning.

Over the course of the four hour operation hundreds of vehicles were checked and a number of citations were issued. The message in Loudon is, if you drink and drive, you go to jail.
