Loudon trio charged with assault

Three Loudon men are facing aggravated burglary and assault charges after allegedly beating a man.

Witness statements and evidence show that around 1 a.m. Aug. 7, Daniel Chase Hardin was a guest at a residence on Church Street. Hardin got into an argument with a man who was another guest.

“According to witnesses, during this fight Hardin was beating (the man) severely about the face and head,” Loudon Police Inv. Brian Jenkins wrote in a report. “(The man) could not get Hardin off him so he stabbed Hardin in the buttock with a pocket knife in order to defend himself. After Hardin was stabbed, other residents in the home were able to get Hardin off (the man) and out of the house.”

Several minutes later, Hardin returned with Glenn Holden Feezell and Ashaunde Jamal Thaxton. The three entered the home and assaulted the man with metal poles.

“According to witnesses, this was another savage beating and (the man) was in imminent danger of serious bodily injury due to the fact that he could not get Hardin off him a second time,” Jenkins wrote in the report. “(The man) again stabbed Hardin in the buttock with a pocket knife in an attempt to defend himself.”
