| The dissemination of information has come a long
way. In the old days, a runner might be dispatched to run from one
village to another to carry the news. Then there were the town criers
who would stand on the street corner shouting the news of the day. Then
came the invention of the printing press which revolutionized the world
of media, that is for those who could read. Then there came radio, then
TV, now the internet. We have come a long way. Now anyone with a computer, a little common sense and a few extra dollars can publish their own version of the news as they see it. Here in Loudon County, we have a growing number of new entrepreneurial media outlets, and I say the more the better.
