Loudon County man arrested on bank robbery charge

KNOXVILLE — A Loudon County man was arrested today in connection with a credit union robbery in Vonore last week, according to the FBI.

William Shane Bright, 40, of Loudon was taken into custody without incident by the FBI, with the assistance of the Vonore Police Department and the Loudon County Sheriff's Office, according to FBI Special Agent Kelly L. Kindness.

Bright faces federal charges of bank robbery for a holdup committed Thursday at the Alcoa Federal Credit Union, 160 Deer Crossing, in Vonore.
