Lenoir City woman charged after threat

A Lenoir City woman is facing charges after she threatened to burn a house down.

Loudon County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Mark Tinnel was dispatched Aug. 19 to Shaw Ferry Road for a call of a woman pouring gasoline inside a residence and threatening to burn the building.

Tinnel and LCSO Deputy Charles Huskin met a woman in the driveway of the residence. She said Jennifer Leona Mayfield, 46, was intoxicated, had gone into the garage and had poured gasoline on the floor.

A man said Mayfield was screaming at 4 a.m., and poured gasoline on him while he was in bed and threatened to set him on fire with a lighter, Tinnel wrote in his report. The man took the lighter and gasoline and threw both out the back door.

Deputies found Mayfield in the basement. She appeared highly intoxicated. Tinnel noticed a strong smell of gasoline in both the garage and the bedroom.

Mayfield was charged with domestic assault-felony and released on $5,000 bond.

Johnson was transported to jail on domestic assault charges. The following day when Johnson was released on $5,000 bond from a charge of aggravated domestic violence, Ward escorted him to his house to pick up his belongings. During this time, Ward explained his bond conditions and drove him to a friend’s house on Clyde Street. Ward advised Johnson not to return to Steekee Road. Within an hour, Ward received a call for a domestic disturbance at the same Steekee Road residence. Upon arrival, Ward found Johnson crossing the road toward a business. Fritts shook the bottom of Satterfield’s pants and a bag of heroin fell out. Fritts located more bags of heroin inside his pants. A short time later, another bag of heroin was found where Satterfield had been standing in front of LCPD Sgt. Christian Dragon’s vehicle. The bags of heroin weighed 0.95 grams.
