Lenoir City man threatens to kill woman

A Lenoir City man is facing an assault charge after law enforcement was called to scene of a domestic dispute.

Responding to a call on Turman Drive, Loudon County Sheriff’s Office Deputy JC Schultz met a woman who gave a written statement saying Jimmy Lynn Arden, 52, had gotten into an argument with her and jumped at her. He also put his hands in her face.
“She further stated that he said, ‘I only have six months to live and I’m going to burn your house down and kill you in your sleep’,” Schultz wrote in the report. “(The woman) emphatically stated that she was in fear of her life and was afraid of being killed by (Arden).”

Neighbors who spoke with Schultz claimed they heard Arden yelling from across the street. Arden was seen fleeing the residence and was later arrested by an officer during a traffic stop.

Arden was charged with domestic assault and held on $2,000 bond.
