LCSO reports that William Risley, who was missing after a car accident, has been found safe

LOUDON, Tenn. (WATE) — UPDATE: Loudon County Sheriff’s Office reports that William Risley has been found safe in the early hours of Saturday morning.

ORIGINAL STORY:

The Loudon County Sheriff’s Office and the Tennessee Highway Patrol were searching for a man late Friday night officials say could be endangered due to health and medical conditions.

William Brian Risley, 27, was last seen leaving the scene of a crash on River Road West in the Southern part of Loudon County, close to the Loudon City limits.

Risley, who according to family has some mental health issues, was last seen wearing a bright colored yellowish-green tee shirt and blue jeans. Risley has long dark brown hair. According to witnesses, Risley was last seen in the area of Interstate 75, possibly heading Southbound on foot along the wood line.

LCSO said late Friday night its deputies conducted an extensive ground search for several hours while THP’s Special Operations Aviation Unit conducted an aerial search along I-75’s wooded areas using FLIR Technology.

At this time, Risley has been entered as a Missing Person.

According to LCSO’s preliminary information, they had received 911 calls Friday reporting a man had crashed into a fence.
