LCPD At It Again
| With the long Memorial Day weekend kicking off
Friday, Lenoir City Police Chief, Don White, decided this would be an
opportune time the LCPD to put on their third DUI check point of the
year.
Apparently intending to send a strong message to those who would drink and drive, nearly a dozen officers lined both sides of Hwy. 321 just south of the Walmart entrance. Hundreds of cars and drivers came under close scrutiny as they passed single file along the gauntlet officers. Many drivers were stopped given brief inspections and literature about the check point. LCPD is planning more check points in the future. |
