LC Hires Attorney

With the recent resignation of Lenoir City attorney, Buddy Hathcock, city officials moved quickly to fill the position. At Monday's council meeting, council voted to hire James K. Scott as the new city attorney. Scott is a Knoxville attorney with Pemberton and Scott law firm.

Mr. Scott is the son of retired judge, Buddy Scott, the judge who presided over both of cases brought against Loudon County chief deputy Tony Aikens. Judge Scott dismissed both cases on technicalities.
