KNOXVILLE — Knoxville police arrested a man today while serving a violation of probation warrant and seized 1.5 pounds of marijuana.

Christopher Jaekel, 20, of Loudon County was taken into custody about 2:20 a.m. at a motel on Merchants Center Blvd. and faces multiple drug charges, according to Knoxville Police Department spokesman Darrell DeBusk.

Officers had gone to the motel to serve a warrant for Jaekel from Loudon County.

They found him in a room and took him into custody without incident.

They found illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia while in the room, DeBusk said.

Along with the marijuana, they found paraphernalia that included baggies and digital scales, DeBusk said.
