I've Been Challenged

My democrat opponent in the August general election has challenged me to a public debate.

My democrat opponent, Jan Theodor Hahn, took a half page ad in the News Herald to post the challenge.

Mr. Hahn's ad failed to mention a few things. First, he doesn't mention that he is running on the democrat ticket. Second, he doesn't mention what we're going to debate. Third, he says "let the truth be told". I'm guessing that means that someone hasn't told the truth? Does he mean me? If so, not sure what I haven't told the truth about.

Maybe he disputes my claim that he donated money to Obama For America and other left wing organizations. Below are screen shots from the Federal Election Commission donor records

Or maybe he disputes that he proudly supports Planned Parent Hood. Below is a screen shot from Mr. Hahn's Facebook page.

Mr. Hahn could have saved himself a lot of money on his half page ad if he had just called me. Absolutely yes, I'd love to have a public debate with Mr. Hahn. I just don't know what we'll debate. Is he opposed to low taxes and that Loudon County has the fourth lowest property tax rate in the state? Is he upset that we are building a 17.5 million dollar addition to the jail with no tax increase? Is he upset that we have been able to fund nearly a seventy million dollar county budget without raising taxes? I don't know.

Here's an idea on how to do this. Since Mr. Hahn is on the democrat ticket and he has made the challenge, then his democrat party should sponsor and host the debate. We can do it right there in the democrat headquarters on Broadway in his wife's building.

Mr. Hahn can set the agenda, We can debate county government operations, finances, education, all matters local. Or we can debate the differences between Obama and Trump or any topic he wants to debate. Or we can just go freestyle on any topic he chooses.

I'm in... I'm ready... Set it up and let me know when and where. Save yourself the cost of another news paper ad and just give me a call, 865-986-6984 or email me @ sarahlccom@aol.com.  Let's roll!
