|On October 18th, I attended a meeting of the Lenoir
City Charter Review Committee. This was the meeting where we learned
there may very well be a recommendation from the committee to add to the
February election ballot a change to the Lenoir City Charter to require
the position of Lenoir city Treasurer/Recorder be appointed by council
rather than elected by the people.
At the end of the October 18th meeting it was announced that the next meeting of the Lenoir City Charter Review Committee would be Thursday October 25th, 6:30 pm at city hall. I watched the local papers for the required adequate public notice of the meeting. Below are the notices that ran. Can you tell when or what time the next meeting actually was to take place?
No finger pointing or accusations, just
an example of the difficulties some times faced when trying to attend
important public meetings. The next meeting of the Lenoir City Charter
