Hurley Anniversary

June 5th will mark the one year anniversary since second district commissioner, Julia Hurley, moved out of her elected district, essentially giving up her county commission seat.

According to Ms. Hurley and her attorney, her move out of her district was only temporary, for just one year. According to her and him, she found a hot deal on another home and bought it to flip to make a profit. Well, Friday will be the one year mark.

From the beginning, Ms. Hurley has told several different stories to try to cover her blunder of moving out of her elected district. First, she denied she had even moved, then she said it was only temporary while she was having foundation work done on her house. Then finally, it was just a temporary move while she fixed up her new house to sell it. Now that the year is up, what will be her next story? Looking into my crystal ball, I predict.........Chinese Corona Virus kept her from being able to sell her new house.

Should we expect she will be permanently moved back to her elected district by the end of this week because in all her legal responses, the move was for just one year.

It's painfully obvious that Ms. Hurley has little interest in representing the second district residents, she misses about as many meetings as she attends but she still collects her tax payer funded pay and benefits.

Ms. Hurley's actions are what give all elected officials a bad rap. Ms. Hurley should give up this crusade, resign, pay back all the money she has taken from the tax payers for the last year then go be the world's greatest realtor.

Below is just a reminder of how we got here.
