How They Vote

With the Loudon City council special election being nonpartisan, a number of people have asked how they can know about the candidates political background and how they vote. That's a very fair question. Voters should know as much as possible about the candidates.

That said, I've done a little research on the candidates. Here's what I found.

Candidate John Cardwell has been registered to vote in Loudon County since 1980.  He has voted democrat the majority of the time. He has a very weak voting record.

Candidate John Franklin has been registered to vote in Loudon County since 2016. He has consistently voted Republican and has a strong voting record.

Candidate Eric Newman has been registered to vote in Loudon County since 2021. His only vote was Republican. He has voted in every election since registering.

Candidate Jimmy Parks has been registered to vote in Loudon County since 1974. He has consistently voted republican and has a strong voting record.

Candidate Jonathan Yates has been registered to vote in Loudon County since 1998. He has consistently voted republican and has a strong voting record.

Candidate James Webb has been registered to vote in Loudon County since 1980. He has consistently voted republican and has a strong voting record.

Candidate David Williams has been registered to vote in Loudon County since 1992. He has consistently voted republican and has a strong voting record.

Only one of these candidates can win the special election. Chose your candidate wisely.
