Helen Ross McNabb Center opens new facility in Loudon County

The Helen Ross McNabb Center has expanded once again.

Now, they will provide their services to those living in and near Loudon County.

Thursday morning, the Center held a ceremonial ribbon cutting to welcome the facility to Lenoir City, which started seeing patients on December 17th.

The staff at the office on Simpson Road will provide mental health outpatient services for children and adults.

Before, some patients from Roane, McMinn and Loudon Counties were driving an hour each way just to get treatment in Knox County.

The new staff is excited about the future of this expansion.

"Just to grow, allow us to grow in what services we offer, more intense services, possibly get in to alcohol and drug services. To see what the needs of the community are and possibly grow from there," said Amber McMillan, the manager of the new center.

Besides this facility and their main one in Knox County, the Helen Ross McNabb Center has also opened five others in Blount, Campbell, Cocke, Hamblen and Sevier Counties
