The 17th of March will mark our 40 year anniversary. It's almost impossible that it could have been that long. Seems like we just started out life together.

Just me and her, she's 18, I'm 19 and we're ready to take on the world. Raised a couple of kids, built a house, Sarah made it a home. There were times we didn't have two pennies to rub together. We've had a few health challenges but not many. We've had mostly good times and some very sad times. We've buried all our parents and grandparents and even lost our baby girl, Emily Ann before she ever got her time on the earth.

Here we are 40 years later, pretty much where we started, just me and her and I'm good with that. Is Sarah happy? She's still here with me. That says a lot.

Now that we're much closer to the end than the beginning, I can say without hesitation, if I knew then what I know now, with few exceptions, I'd do it all again.

Thank you Sarah for the forty years. I couldn't have done it without you.
