Greenback woman jailed in alleged knife attack against boyfriend

The man told deputies Myers had been drinking and was upset about family issues and began taking it out on him, the report said. He said Myers began yelling and calling him names, then started hitting him after he put down their 4-month-old child.

He alleged Myers then grabbed a knife and started cutting him. After a lengthy struggle, Myers took the baby and left, he said.
Deputies reported the man’s shirt was torn and cut in several places. He also had several cuts on his stomach and chest, along with a cut on his left ring finger, according to the report. The man declined medical attention.

Deputies said they found Myers at a Maryville residence. She said her boyfriend threatened her after she told him she wanted to break up, according to the report. Myers also said her boyfriend attacked her by throwing her to the ground, banging her head on the ground and biting her left hand.

Myers denied a knife was used and said she believed her boyfriend cut himself to get her in trouble, deputies said. They observed discoloration on Myers’ left hand, neck and knee.

Deputies arrested Myers as the primary aggressor and contacted the state Department of Children’s Services about the incident. The child was returned to Myers’ boyfriend.
