Greenback Tornado
| First reports are that a tornado may have touched
down in Greenback along Hwy. 95 South around the Co-Op traveling
on into Blount County. The tornado struck around 8:30 pm. Structural
damage, power outages, downed power lines and trees down were reported
in the area. Crews were working to restore power but expected it would
take several hours. Fortunately no injuries were reported thus far. More information when available. |
