Greenback man faces rape charges

A man is facing rape charges after law enforcement responded to a call Oct. 6 in Greenback.

Responding to a call on the 6900 block on Highway 411 of a possible assault, Loudon County Sheriff’s Office Inv. Sgt. Jason Smith and Sgt. Det. Charlie Cosner made contact with a man who said Robert Shane McDonald, 28, had used his hand to penetrate a 7-year-old girl. Smith spoke to a woman who said she entered into a bedroom and saw the girl lying on the bed with the man’s hand on her. “She stated they appeared startled and (the girl) stated ‘I told him not to touch me’,” Smith wrote. “(The woman) then advised (the man) and the assault occurred between the two (men).” McDonald was transported to jail, where he then admitted to placing his hand under the girl’s clothes. He said it occurred on more than one occasion over the past couple months.

McDonald was charged with rape of a child and held on $100,000 bond.

Sweetwater man and woman face drug charges

Dispatched to Blue Springs Road for a suspicious vehicle, Loudon County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Robbie Lane was advised by dispatch that a truck had left the residence and had a car on the trailer and turned onto Erie Road. Upon making contact with the truck, Lane made contact with the driver, identified as James Sisk, 35, Sweetwater, and noticed a handgun on the center console of the truck, according to the report. Lane and Deputy Jame Ketner removed everyone from the truck and detained four subjects. Sisk was the driver, Misty Nichole Wilson, 30, Sweetwater, was the front passenger and Jeffery Loggins and Tonya Swinback were the rear passengers. Sisk said the gun was his, according to the report. Swinback advised law enforcement the vehicle in the trailer was hers. Dispatch verified the vehicle was not stolen, but noted Sisk had been revoked and had a warrant out of Bradley County for failure to appear. Wilson was escorted to the back of Ketner’s car and placed in the back seat. After placing her in the vehicle, deputies noticed a brown box was where Wilson was standing. Inside the box was a clear plastic bag that contained a crystal like substance, according to the report “Wilson advised she knew nothing about the subtance,” Lane wrote. “I asked Sisk about the box and he advised it was his meth that he had given it to Wilson to hide for him when I stopped the car. I weighed the substance and it was about 3.83 grams.” Deputies asked Wilson about the container, who then said it was inside her pants and fell out when getting into the car.

Sisk was charged with failure to appear out of Bradley County, driving on a revoked/suspended license, possession of a firearm and possession of methamphetamine and released on $17,000 bond. Wilson was charged with possession of a Schedule II substance and attempt to hide evidence and held on $15,000 bond.
