Full August Ballot

The August election will be a state primary election and the county general election. This means, when you go to vote, you will be asked if you want to vote in the state Republican or Democrat primary. You have to choose one to be allowed to vote for any of the state races. However, no matter if you choose the state republican or democrat primaries, you will be able to vote for any candidate in the county general election. 

The only two contested races in the county general election from the May primary will be in the 2nd district commission seat "A" where incumbent Earlena Maples will be challenged by Julia Hurley and in the 5th district commission seat "B" where I will be challenged by Jan Hahn. All the rest of the county candidates are uncontested and are running unopposed.

There will also be four county school board races on the ballot. Three are contested. See below.
